Accounting AssistantJoin the Kocourek Automotive Team!

Kocourek Automotive is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our Accounting Department. This position provides direct support to the Director of Accounting and Accounting Manager and plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting daily accounting operations.

The ideal candidate is dependable, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and maintain accounting records related to the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash reimbursements, and other accounting functions.

  • Assist with month-end closing activities, ensuring all transactions are accurately posted and supporting schedules and account reconciliations are completed and submitted for review.

  • Support the preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial statements and management reports.

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and assist with cash flow monitoring.

  • Review contracts in transit and wholesale receivable schedules to ensure accuracy and timely collection.

  • Compile and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management and dealership leadership.

  • Maintain organized accounting records and documentation.

  • Provide additional administrative and accounting support as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred.

  • Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations required.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with employees and management at all levels of the organization.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Automotive dealership accounting experience preferred but not required.

Schedule
  • Full-time position

  • Monday through Friday

  • 40 hours per week

  • Office hours between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM
