Salary: $21.70/hour - Salary is Negotiable (Employees will receive 5% below the negotiated pay rate during their probationary status.)

(Half-time 20-29 hours)

Responsible To: Transit Supervisor

Summary: This position is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and courteous transportation services to the Oneida community and surrounding areas. This position ensures the timely transport of passengers while maintaining compliance with traffic laws, safety regulations, and departmental policies. Duties include operating transit vehicles, assisting passengers with boarding and exiting, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and completing accurate trip documentation. Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding allocations.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants please clearly state how you meet these qualifications on the application/resume.

  • Must be at least twenty-five (25) years of age or older. 
  • High School Diploma, HSED Diploma or GED Certification; applicants age fifty (50) and older are exempt from this requirement.
  •  A valid Wisconsin CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with an A or B or C class. A valid Fed-Med Card.
