The UI/UX Engineer contributes to our global design system, implements styles for reusable component libraries, and ensures all customer-facing features are visually polished and fully 508-compliant. They work independently on core feature sets while collaborating cross-functionally with senior engineers and architects on advanced frontend structures.

  • Implement and organize global stylesheets (Sass/SCSS) and navigation framework layouts conforming to defined project standards.
  • Execute 508 accessibility compliance testing and implement remediation (keyboard navigation, focus control, screen reader support, error highlighting).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and senior developers to evaluate frontend feasibility and refine user requirements.
  • Support the analysis and execution of 'Spikes' to evaluate emerging technologies and resolve styling issues (Kendo UI, custom widgets).
  • Work alongside frontend and backend developers to streamline the 'design-to-code' handoff, ensuring high-fidelity implementation.
  • Contribute to component library, UI guides and developer-focused styling documentation.
  • Practice and promote design thinking, technical empathy, and continuous improvement across the engineering team.

UI/UX Design & Prototyping Experience
  • Review and interpret user personas, journey maps, and user research to inform layout and component design.
  • Create low-to-high fidelity wireframes, user flow diagrams, and interactive clickable prototypes in Figma.

  • Build and validate layouts and typography across multiple devices, form-factors, and resolutions.

Frontend & Design System Engineering Experience
  • Develop and configure reusable, testable UI components in TypeScript and Angular.
  • Implement stylesheet structures (Bootstrap, Sass/SCSS, and preprocessors) to enforce brand standards.
  • Utilization of component frameworks (Kendo UI).
  • Collaborate on Angular workspace consolidation, configuration updates, and dependency management.

What You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, HCI, Graphic Design, or related IT field or FOUR(4) years of equivalent experience in leu of degree.
  • SIX (6) years of professional experience as a UI/UX Engineer, Front-End Developer, or UX Designer.
  • Strong working proficiency in HTML5, CSS3/Sass, TypeScript, and Angular (v14+).
  • Hands-on experience with Figma for asset extraction, spec inspection, and prototyping.
  • Practical experience in 508 / WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility compliance and remediation.
  • Experience working in 2-week Agile sprint structures, including story refinement and active collaboration.
  • Familiarity with Kendo UI, Google Looker, and CSS-in-JS is a plus (Preferred).

Performance Metrics
  • Accuracy and alignment of coded interfaces with provided Figma designs.
  • On-time delivery of functional component code within active sprint cycles.
  • Consistent adherence to and utilization of global styling components.
  • 508 compliance pass rate on developed front-end interfaces.
  • Constructive collaboration and feedback during sprint reviews and design critique sessions.
