Job description

UNIVERSAL Technologies, LLC is seeking two (2) experienced Google Advanced Cloud & Generative AI Developers for a 50% hybrid position in Albany, NY supporting the development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise conversational AI and virtual agent solutions. Qualified candidates must have experience developing Google Cloud Solutions, and programming in Python and JavaScript.

Active LinkedIn preferred, local candidates only. These consulting engagements offer the potential for extension and involve collaborating across multiple initiatives to support existing AI-powered chatbot applications while designing and implementing innovative cloud-based generative AI solutions. The ideal candidates will possess strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), conversational AI technologies, generative AI, and full-stack application development using Python and JavaScript.

***Approximately 1-year contracts with the potential for ongoing renewals

MANDATORY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum five (5) years of professional experience developing enterprise cloud-based applications.
  • Minimum two (2) years of hands-on experience developing solutions within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience developing chatbot or conversational AI solutions using Google Dialogflow or similar technologies.
  • Experience designing, developing, and implementing Generative AI applications, AI agents, and intelligent virtual assistants.
  • Strong knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture, implementation strategies, and prompt engineering techniques.
  • Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into enterprise applications.
  • Strong proficiency developing backend services and APIs using Python.
  • Strong proficiency developing frontend and backend applications using JavaScript.
  • Experience designing and deploying cloud-native applications within Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
  • Experience utilizing Git, GitHub, GitLab, or similar source control platforms.
  • Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Experience producing clean, scalable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Experience participating in code reviews, software testing, deployment, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Experience supporting, troubleshooting, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise production applications.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise chatbot and virtual agent solutions utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Build, implement, and support conversational AI applications using Google Dialogflow and related technologies.
  • Develop and implement Generative AI agents and intelligent automation solutions utilizing modern AI frameworks and cloud services.
  • Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and prompt engineering strategies to improve AI response quality and performance.
  • Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations using Python and JavaScript.
  • Support existing production applications by troubleshooting issues, implementing enhancements, and resolving technical defects.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, customers, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver innovative cloud-based AI solutions.
  • Develop clean, scalable, maintainable, and well-documented application code following established development standards and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure automation and CI/CD processes utilizing Terraform and Git-based repositories.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of multiple concurrent conversational AI and cloud application initiatives while ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
