Job description

Job Summary:
Google is a leading technology company, and they are seeking a Customer Engineer in the Public Sector to partner with technical sales teams. The role focuses on helping customers understand and implement Google Cloud solutions, addressing technical questions, and developing creative cloud architectures for various customer opportunities.
Responsibilities:
• Identify and qualify business opportunities alongside the team, understanding key customer technical objections, and developing strategies to resolve technical blockers.
• Apply Google Cloud expertise to support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partnering directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
• Work directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments.
• Define integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement complete solutions on Google Cloud.
• Design and deliver art of the possible demonstrations for Federal Civilian agencies by integrating human-centric UI/UX design with scalable cloud infrastructure to visualize and solve mission issues.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Must be a US Citizen to meet customer and compliance requirements, including potential access to classified information.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
• Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
• Experience engaging with, or presenting to, technical stakeholders or executive leaders in the Federal government.
• Experience migrating systems to the cloud, building custom Generative AI applications, and developing demos that validate business value.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Preferred:
• Experience selling technical solutions in one or more of the following: Infrastructure Modernization, Application Modernization, Data Management, Data Analytics, Cloud AI, Networking, Migrations, Security.
• Experience driving the entire sales cycle (e.g., defining the delivery and consumption plan and transitioning it for execution).
• Experience with security concepts (e.g., encryption, identity management, access control, attack vectors, pen testing).
• Experience with networking concepts such as software-defined networking, routing, virtual private networks, load balancers and firewalls.
• Ability to learn quickly, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.
