Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
  • 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
  • Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with current polygraph.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience working with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis and software design.
  • 1 year of experience using Go (Golang) as a programming language for systems or application development.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage in and improve the entire lifecycle of Google Public Sector air-gapped services, from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement.
  • Support services before they go live via system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
  • Maintain live services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.
  • Scale systems sustainably through automation, and push and contribute to architectural changes that improve reliability and velocity.
  • Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems.
