Lead the Repairs That Keep Aircraft Flying - Join Us as a Flight Hours Services (FHS) Repair Manager
Location: Miami, FL | Payrate: $38 - $43/hour
PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global leader in the aerospace industry to hire an experienced Flight Hours Services (FHS) Repair Manager . As an FHS Repair Manager, you'll serve as a critical link between suppliers, engineering, procurement, and operations-driving repair performance, controlling costs, improving turnaround times, and ensuring the highest standards of quality. Your expertise will help keep fleets mission-ready while supporting continuous improvement across a world-class aerospace organization.
What You'll Do
In this high-impact role, you'll oversee supplier repair operations and champion performance across cost, quality, lead time, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Cost Management
  • Challenge and validate commercial repair quotations in accordance with procurement guidelines, including Flat Rate, Power-by-the-Hour (PBH), and Time & Material agreements.
  • Support achievement of global Flight Hours Services repair cost targets.
  • Utilize your technical expertise to evaluate repair quotations using Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs).

Lead Time Management
  • Ensure suppliers meet contractual repair turnaround times.
  • Identify root causes of repair delays and drive corrective actions with suppliers.
  • Visit supplier facilities as needed to strengthen operational performance and resolve issues.

Quality Assurance
  • Lead recurring operational meetings with repair suppliers to review repair status, open issues, and data reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with technical standards, service bulletins, repair scopes, certifications, and regulatory requirements, including EASA, FAA, and other applicable authorities.
  • Monitor supplier adherence to quality and certification expectations.

Continuous Improvement
  • Drive process improvements across repair operations.
  • Partner with methods and tools teams to maintain accurate system data.
  • Provide stakeholders with timely reporting on part status and operational performance metrics.
  • Mentor and support subcontractors performing administrative functions.
  • Contribute to ongoing operational excellence initiatives and special projects.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Aerospace, or a related field.
  • Six or more years of experience in aviation, aerospace, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience managing supplier performance and operational supply chain activities.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Technical knowledge required to evaluate repair quotations using Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs).
  • Results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Experience using SAP and Google Workspace tools, including Gmail, Google Sheets, and Google Slides.
  • Ability to travel approximately 5-10% of the time, including supplier visits several times per year.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Aerospace, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of Maintenance Part 145 regulations.
  • Experience working within commercial aerospace maintenance and repair operations.
  • Fluency in French or Spanish.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a regulated aerospace environment.

Work Environment
  • 100% onsite position.
  • Approximately 5-10% travel, including supplier visits throughout the year.
  • Work in both office and production environments with occasional shop floor access.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including steel-toed shoes and other site-required safety equipment, is required when visiting production areas.

Pay Details: $38.00 to $43.00 per hour
