1. Front Deployment Engineer (FDE) - GECX Service
Location:
• Must-have: Silicon Valley California
Team: Applied AI - CX Agent Studio
Role Summary :
We are seeking a Front Deployment Engineer who represents a new archetype of AI-enabled engineer. Unlike legacy conversational agent roles, this position requires deep technical capability aligned with the CPSE (Cloud Professional Services Engineer) job profile. You will travel up to 50% of the time to customer or engineering sites, delivering front-end, back-end, and cloud technologies across storage, compute, and network layers. You will serve as the hands-on technical expert, pivoting from legacy systems to advanced Generative AI frameworks.
Note: The skills for this role are aligned with the SCE (Strategic Cloud Engineer) profile that may exist in your organization, particularly the App Modernization, Infrastructure, and AI/ML teams. We intend to train and scale through that team only.
Key Responsibilities
Full Stack & Agentic Delivery: Deliver comprehensive solutions across front-end, back-end, and cloud technologies. Utilize Generative AI (Gemini preferred) and common frameworks (ADK, LangChain, etc.) to build production-grade agents.
Customer Engineering & Advocacy: Navigate complex customer organizations and handle objections with high levels of empathy. Be strongly opinionated and morally grounded in the face of extreme opposition to drive technical success.
Legacy Migration: For specific migration projects, leverage experience in Google DialogFlow, CCAI, and Telephony/CCaaS to transition customers from legacy architectures to GECX Service.
Rapid Prototyping & Problem Solving: Instinctively solve blocking customer scenarios in minutes or hours (e.g., "Code an eval pipeline in Python," "Build an audio connector using streaming APIs") without external reliance, leveraging Gemini as a force multiplier.
Core Competencies
Engineering Depth (CPSE Profile): Coding skills equivalent to L3 SWE (any language). IMPORTANT: Non-coders / non-CPSE profiles should be excluded from consideration.
AI/ML Fluency: Deep familiarity with Generative AI, ADK, and agentic frameworks.
Customer Resilience: Ability to handle extreme opposition and navigate complex organizational dependencies.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Coding Proficiency: Proven coding skills equivalent to an L3 Software Engineer (working examples/repos required for review).
Language Skills: Fluency in English plus one major regional language.
Travel: Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to remote locations.
Cloud Experience: Experience delivering greenfield customer Cloud Foundations on GCP.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification: Cloud Professional certification on Cloud Infrastructure.
Framework Experience: Working experience with ADK (Agent Development Kit).
Legacy Knowledge: Experience with Google DialogFlow and CCAI (specifically for migration roles).
Portfolio: Visible code repositories or examples of agents built on modern frameworks.
