About the Role/Team
Entrupy is seeking a Footwear Data Collector based in the Los Angeles, California area, for an initial project-based employment period of 3 months. The Footwear Data Collector will be responsible for capturing high-quality images of popular footwear styles using Entrupy's image-capturing hardware and mobile application. This role requires the ability to handle different image-capturing workflows and work collaboratively with our team to understand imaging requirements. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate a deep interest towards footwear and can adapt to working in a fast-moving environment.
This role is a temporary hourly employment position (non-exempt) for an initial project period of 6 months, which may be extended by mutual agreement. During the initial project period, it is anticipated that the Footwear Data Collector will work between 16 and 24 hours per week.
This is an exempt salaried position. The starting salary for this role is between $18-$20 per hour, depending on skills and experience
Reports to: Footwear Authentication Lead
Location: This role will be required to work from the partner site.
What you'll do
  • Capture high-quality images of footwear using our existing setup and app
  • Handle different image-capturing workflows
  • Work collaboratively with our team to understand imaging requirements and ensure images meet our standards
  • Proficiently log and track daily scanning on Google Sheets
  • Work with other team members to meet production and deadline goals
  • Assist with other tasks as needed, including organizing and tracking inventory
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues as they come up
What you bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred
  • Up-to-date knowledge of footwear and fashion trends
  • Prior retail experience in the industry
  • Prior experience in footwear imaging or photography would be a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to capture high-quality images of footwear
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work at different locations based on data needs

Salary Range - $18 - $20 per hour
This is an exempt salaried position. The starting salary for this role is between $18 - $20 per hour, depending on skills and experience. We have competitive pay bands for all other countries based on market standards. Individual compensation decisions are based on several factors, including experience level, skill set, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. Based on these factors, we expect most of the candidates offered roles at our company to fall within the range. We recognise that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description, as posted. If so, the updated salary range will be communicated to you as a candidate.
