Job description


  • Provide thought leadership, engineering expertise and direction to engineering teams

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and cross-functional technology groups to drive continuous delivery

  • Analyze and elaborate user stories; design and develop software applications

  • Own architecture, design, and development of assigned applications

  • Write code and API specifications, develop proofs of concept, conduct code reviews, and test during ongoing sprints

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, or related field required

  • 8+ years of commercial software development experience

  • Proficiency with distributed/multi-tier systems and application development

  • Excellent programming skills in Java and Python

  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, microservices, Kafka, relational and/or NoSQL databases

  • Experience developing and hosting solutions on Google Cloud Platform, including Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Vertex AI

  • Experience with Agile development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery

  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tools

  • Experience with automated release management using Maven, Salt, Git, and Jenkins

  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux

  • Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns

  • Knowledge and experience of contact center ecosystem/Genesys Framework and Architecture preferred

  • Familiarity with TensorFlow and PyTorch

  • Hands-on experience with Generative AI technologies, LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI-powered application development

  • Experience using Vertex AI for model development, deployment, and monitoring
