Cloud Architect (Google Cloud Platform)

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise-scale Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) environments. This role is focused on cloud infrastructure, automation, networking, security, and platform engineering. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and cloud networking.


Responsibilities

  • Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available Google Cloud Platform environments.

  • Build and support cloud landing zones, networking, IAM, DNS, and shared services architecture.

  • Develop infrastructure automation using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices.

  • Design, maintain, and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

  • Implement cloud governance, security controls, monitoring, and operational standards.

  • Partner with engineering, operations, and security teams to improve cloud platform capabilities.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, networking, and security issues.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve reliability, scalability, and efficiency.


Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or cloud architecture.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).

  • Strong expertise with:

    • Google Cloud Platform Landing Zones

    • VPCs and cloud networking

    • IAM and cloud security

    • Terraform and Infrastructure as Code

    • GitLab CI/CD pipelines



  • Experience supporting cloud-hosted applications and services.

  • Knowledge of cloud security, monitoring, logging, and operational best practices.

  • Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or similar languages.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and troubleshooting skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Google Professional Cloud Architect certification.

  • Experience with Kubernetes (GKE), Docker, and container platforms.

  • Knowledge of Security Command Center and cloud governance frameworks.

  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as ITIL or TOGAF.
