Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Solution Design: You are responsible for the high-level design of complex backup & restore solutions, evaluating IT concepts for technical feasibility, standard compliance, and long-term futureproofing.
  • Backbone for Product Management: You provide expert technical guidance to support the global development of our solutions in close alignment with European and Japanese portfolio management teams, translating market feedback into actionable roadmap items.
  • Technology Partnership Management: You serve as the primary technical point of contact for our strategic software partners (e.g., Commvault, Cohesity, Veritas, …) and evaluate their latest features for integration into our portfolio.
  • Lead in Customer Projects: You lead high-stakes Proof-of-Concept (PoC) projects, deliver high-level technical presentations, and oversee critical implementations as a Technical Lead (remote or on-site).
  • Innovation & Showcasing: You conceptualize and operate complex showcase architectures in our Munich Demo-Center/Lab to demonstrate the performance and reliability of our Data Protection solutions.
  • Knowledge Leadership: You define the standard for the implementation of our solutions across Europe by creating technical documentation and advanced training concepts.
  • Post-Sales Support: You provide expert-level guidance to Post-Sales colleagues across Europe, ensuring successful deployment and troubleshooting of high-tier backup solutions.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Extensive Expert Experience: Proven track record in the architecture, planning, and deployment of enterprise-grade backup & restore concepts.
  • High Technology Affinity: Expert knowledge in at least two market-leading technologies (preferably Commvault and Cohesity, complemented by Veritas NetBackup or Veeam).
  • Cloud & Infrastructure Proficiency: Deep understanding of hybrid environments (On-Premises, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and modern workloads (Containers, SaaS-Backup).
  • Strong Communication & Presentation: Fluent in both German and English. You possess the ability to present complex technical topics confidently to both technical teams and executive decision-makers.
  • Strategic Mindset: You work with a high degree of autonomy, think proactively, and enjoy acting as the technical bridge between Sales, Product Development, and Partners.
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel within Europe to support customers and partners on-site.
