About the Role
The Technology Coordinator is a vital member of our educational community, responsible for the planning, deployment, implementation, and management of the school's technology resources. With our school's robust use of Apple devices and the Google Classroom platform, the Technology Coordinator is instrumental in fostering a dynamic, technology-rich learning environment that enhances student engagement and empowers teachers to deliver innovative, digital-first instruction. This role includes providing technical support to staff and students and integrating technology into the curriculum.

  • Technical Support:
    • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for staff and students, including hardware, software, and network issues.
    • Set up and maintain computer labs, classroom technology, and other tech-related resources.
    • Manage the inventory of hardware, software, and digital resources, ensuring everything is up-to-date and functional.
  • Training and Professional Development:
    • Design and deliver training programs for teachers and staff on effective technology integration and digital literacy.
    • Stay updated on the latest educational technology trends and tools, and recommend new technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
    • Support teachers in incorporating technology into their lessons and curriculum to improve student outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with teachers to identify technology needs and support curriculum development.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for technology vendors and service providers.

What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience working with the Google Classroom platform and Apple technologies/software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technology concepts to non-technical users.
  • Experience in training and professional development for educators, as well as familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and educational software platforms (preferred).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of assistive technology and tools that support diverse learning needs (preferred).
