Job description

The Google Workspace Architect will lead the end-to-end architecture, planning, and execution of enterprise-scale migrations from Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams) to Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Meet, Chat).
This role requires strong hands-on technical expertise, migration tooling experience, and customer-facing consulting skills to ensure secure, scalable, and user-centric migrations.
Experience Required
· 8–12+ years overall IT experience
· 5+ years of Google Workspace administration and architecture experience
· Experience handling enterprise tenants
Key Responsibilities
· Design target-state Google Workspace architecture aligned to business, security, and compliance needs
· Define migration strategy for Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams
· Lead mailbox, file, and collaboration workload migrations
· Design coexistence and phased migration approaches
· Act as primary technical advisor for stakeholders and leadership
· Ensure minimal business disruption and high user satisfaction
Technical Expertise Required – Google Workspace
· Google Workspace Tennent architecture and administration
· Configuring GWS security parameters including , Gmail mail flow, routing, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and compliance rules
· Google Drive and Shared Drives architecture, permissions, and governance
· Google Meet and Chat configuration and enterprise collaboration design
· Google Vault retention, legal holds, and eDiscovery
· Knowledge on Gemini AI for Google workspace
Migration Tooling knowledge
· Google Workspace Migrate
· Google Workspace Migration for Microsoft Exchange (GWMME)
· BitTitan MigrationWiz
· CloudM or equivalent third-party migration tools
· Migration wave planning, throttling management, and post-migration validation
Identity, Security & Compliance
· Azure AD to Google Cloud Directory integration
· SSO and federation using SAML and OAuth
· Context-Aware Access and DLP policies
Automation & Scripting
· Google Workspace Admin SDK and APIs
· Apps Script for automation and reporting
Documentation & Leadership
· Create architecture diagrams, migration runbooks, and technical design documents
· Provide executive-level presentations and migration status reports
· Mentor engineers and provide architectural guidance
Certifications (Preferred)
· Google Workspace Certified – Professional Administrator
