Job description

Overall Job Summary

This position is responsible for Search Engine Marketing (SEM) of Internet marketing that seeks to promote Tractor Supply Company (TSC) by increasing the visibility in search engine result pages (SERPs) through the use of paid placement, contextual advertising, and paid inclusion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
  • Ensure Account Management on ad platforms for pay per click (ppc) media such as Google Adwords and Microsoft Adcenter.
  • Direct SEM campaigns based on basic KPI's such as CTR, CPC, and ROAS.
  • Create, categorize, and refine keyword lists to create a comprehensive campaign that drives qualified visitors to our site and supports merchandising initiatives as well as online and offline marketing initiatives.
  • Implement successful bidding strategies and effective keyword management (identify and evaluate potential third-party tools to assist.
  • Monitor, revise, and conduct ad and landing page tests.
  • Analyze and asses the performance of campaigns and translate quantitative and qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising the campaign strategy.
  • Communicate regularly on status, timeline, budget, deliverables, performance reporting, and competitive intelligence analysis with account service teams.
  • Format and prepare regular search reports in the form of tables, graphs, summaries, and PowerPoint slides.
  • Present data on weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to marketing, merchandising and executive audiences.
Required Qualifications

Experience: 1 - 2 years Search Engine Marketing, Account Management or comparable digital marketing experience

Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Advertising

Professional Certifications: Google Adwords Certification desired

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities

Must have strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal); a positive attitude; ability to work as a team and independently are a necessity; able to successfully manage and prioritize multiple campaigns in a deadline-driven atmosphere; strong analytical skills - gather, analyze, summarize, and present data; ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and shift priorities; familiarity with tracking, analytics, and reporting including Google Analytics; search campaign management tools, including AdWords Editor is required; required proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
