We provide cost-effective, high-performance infrastructure for AI start-ups and large enterprise customers, enabling them to achieve superior results by reducing the complexity of AI development. We thrive on a culture of innovation, ownership, and accountability - where every team member drives their work with excellence.

About the Role

This is Nscale's first dedicated Google Workspace Platform Engineer role. You'll own Google Workspace as a secure, reliable, and well-governed productivity platform - responsible for its configuration, governance, security posture, integrations, and ongoing improvement across identity, security, support, and the wider technology estate.

You'll also evaluate, configure, and support Workspace AI capabilities such as Gemini, introducing them safely and in line with Nscale's broader collaboration strategy.

What You'll Be Doing

Platform Ownership & Governance

  • Configure and maintain security controls including admin access, sharing policies, email security, audit logging, and data-protection settings
  • Support phishing protection, DLP, retention, and incident-response requirements in partnership with Information Security
  • Help maintain audit evidence for SOC 2, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, and SOX

Identity, Integrations & Support

  • Ensure Workspace integrates effectively with SSO, MFA, SCIM, and joiner/mover/leaver processes
  • Support integrations between Workspace and security, compliance, collaboration, and service-delivery tools
  • Provide escalation support to Technology Operations and create clear runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge articles

Automation & Continuous Improvement

  • Automate repetitive administration, reporting, and lifecycle tasks using Google APIs, Apps Script, PowerShell, Python, or similar
  • Build dashboards and reports for visibility into Workspace health, adoption, security, and compliance
  • Test and roll out new Workspace capabilities - including Gemini - safely and with the right governance in place
About You

Requirements

  • 5+ years administering Google Workspace in a production environment; experience supporting 2,000+ users preferred
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Meet, Groups, Shared Drives, and Google Admin console
  • Experience configuring Workspace security and governance controls, including sharing policies, admin roles, audit logs, and data protection
  • Scripting or automation experience using Google APIs, Apps Script, PowerShell, or Python
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences

Nice to Have

  • Google Workspace Administrator certification
  • Experience with DLP, retention, eDiscovery, or Google Vault
  • Experience configuring Gemini for Google Workspace or similar enterprise AI tools
  • Familiarity with Okta or other identity platforms
  • Exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, or SOX
What We Can Offer You
  • Highly competitive package, including base salary and equity, with reviews every 12 months
  • Meaningful ownership as the first dedicated owner of a platform central to how Nscale works
  • Dynamic progression plan tailored to your ambitions
