Work Environment

Located in the heart of Tampa, our facility operates in a welcoming and collaborative environment. You will be working in a hospital setting alongside a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including 5 physicians and 5 nurse practitioners. This dynamic atmosphere fosters teamwork and innovation, ensuring that our staff can provide the highest standards of care. The position requires a commitment to working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, concluding at 5:00 PM, allowing for work-life balance and time to recharge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and review patients’ medical histories
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood tests and X-rays to assist in diagnosing patient conditions
  • Develop treatment plans for chronic and infectious diseases, tailoring interventions to meet individual patient needs
  • Prescribe medications and provide ongoing management to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, scheduling, and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Engage in patient education by discussing health conditions, prescribed treatments, and preventive measures with patients and their families
  • Oversee comprehensive patient health management and promote healthy lifestyle choices
  • Participate in continuing education and research initiatives to enhance clinical knowledge and practice
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will primarily serve a diverse patient population, encompassing various age groups, socioeconomic backgrounds, and medical needs. You will play a pivotal role in educating patients about disease prevention, chronic disease management, and maintaining wellness. Collaborating closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals, your contributions will directly enhance patient health outcomes and community wellness.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Physician Assistant in clinical settings such as hospitals or outpatient facilities
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program is mandatory; a Master’s degree is preferred
  • A valid California State Physician Assistant license and PA-C certification are required
  • Must possess a current DEA number to prescribe medications
  • Demonstrated expertise in primary care, acute care, and chronic care management practices
  • Strong understanding of health regulations and patient care standards
