POSITION SUMMARY
The Mail Center Support Associate will receive, sort and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail for the Air Force Personnel Center (AFPC) at Randolph AFB, and provide customers with superior customer service. Support the organization in its mission to help change lives through the power of work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Scan all incoming accountable (registered, certified, insured, etc.) mail, and sort, distribute, and notify customers.
  2. Send out FedEx Ground and FedEx Express and record tracking numbers for customers.
  3. Receive, sort and distribute incoming non-accountable (regular 1st class) mail and internal distribution mail.
  4. Greet and assist internal customers at customer service window.
  5. Answer telephone inquiries.
  6. Scan incoming mail for explosives using the IONSCAN trace detector.
  7. File essential documents.
  8. Log outgoing certified mail and makes copies.
  9. Provide excellent customer service by greeting, assisting, and responding to questions and/or concerns in a positive, professional, and friendly manner.

REQUIREMENTS
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a security clearance
  2. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED
  3. 6 months of experience using basic office skills
  4. Previous mail processing experience preferred.
  5. Basic computer skills; MS Word, Excel
  6. General office equipment

  12. Analyze, evaluate situations, and develop alternatives for conflict resolution
