• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to understand the psychological and emotional needs of clients, establishing a foundation for effective treatment.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that address specific mental health issues, leveraging therapeutic techniques that cater to individual client needs.
• Provide engaging individual, couple, and family counseling sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote healing and personal growth.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure holistic treatment approaches and referral processes when necessary.
• Maintain meticulous client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and accurate documentation of progress.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities through workshops, webinars, and training sessions to enhance your skills and stay current with innovations in mental health care.

As an LPC at Good Waves Counseling Center, you will engage with a diverse client population that includes children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges. This role requires sensitivity toward cultural differences and an understanding of the unique factors that influence each client’s experience. You will have the opportunity to work with clients addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and more.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Must hold a valid and active LPC license in good standing within the state of Arizona.
• Demonstrated experience providing counseling services, preferably in an outpatient or community health setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to collaborative practice.

• Experience with telehealth platforms and remote counseling services.
• Familiarity with a variety of therapeutic modalities such as CBT, EMDR, or DBT.
• Prior involvement in community-based mental health initiatives or programs.
