Allendale Public Schools 

Position Posting 

Positions:  Good Time Friends Aide (part-time)  

Posting Dates:  July 7-July 11, 2026 internal; July 12 - July 17, 2026 external

Reports To:  Good Time Friends Director, Lisa Gross

Location: Evergreen Elementary

Date of Employment:  August 18, 2025

Starting Wage:  $15.67 per hour

Hours Needed: 7:30am - 8:30am Wednesday & Thursday AND

3:15pm - 5:30pm Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 

Must be available to cover 6 hour shifts on 1/2 and no school days.

This position is part of the Allendale Support Personnel Association. Please see agreement on website for more information at www.allendale.k12.mi.us under the Budget & Salary /Compensation Transparency Reporting icon.

Qualifications: 

  • Must have a passion for working with children, ages 5 yrs to rising 6th graders 

  • Ability to provide a nurturing, safe, and caring environment 

  • First Aid and CPR training preferred 

  • Self-directed, able to multitask and work with parents 

Requirements:

  • Complete 7 hours of Health & Safety modules prior to the start date
  • Complete at least 16 hours (minimum) of Professional Development (PD) training
  • Federal Fingerprinting ($65 - pd by prospective employee)
  • CPR/1st Aid Training
  • MiRegistry/MiVirtual account set up for new staff
  • TB test and negative results (required for GTF licensing) 

Essential job functions: 

  • Supervise student activities indoors and outdoors 

  • Working with small and large groups on and whole class basis

  • Manage student behaviors

  • Follow directions from supervisor and other staff members
