Non-Exempt

Summary: Reports to Director of Security. Guards against fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Verifies authorization for access to allow entrance or exit of employees, contractors, visitors, and guests and issues appropriate to pass.

Directs guests, visitors, and contractors to various parts of the community.

Records license plate number of vehicles entering the property.

Performs general housekeeping and maintenance duties at gatehouse and on patrol vehicles.

Issue and receive keys according to Standard Operating Procedures.

Monitors Security Monitoring System and responds to security alarms.

Completes all logs, reports, and records.

Promotes good rapport with owners and/or members.

Performs mobile and foot patrols of the community. Records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment.

Answers telephone, verifies Personal Identification code, and records daily access information.
