This position requires the Physician Assistant to work onsite at our hospital, collaborating closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals in a dynamic and supportive environment. The schedule is primarily Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, focusing on both outpatient and inpatient care. The role may occasionally require adjustments based on departmental coverage needs, further emphasizing teamwork and flexibility.

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and gather detailed medical histories to assess the physical and mental conditions of patients.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood work and imaging studies, to evaluate patient health and aid in formulating care plans.
• Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions according to evidence-based practices, ensuring a focus on safety and efficacy in treatment protocols.
• Collaborate with attending physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive, outcomes-based treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
• Educate and counsel patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, as well as lifestyle modifications essential for optimal health and wellness.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes to maintain comprehensive patient records and ensure continuity of care.
• Provide specialty services related to cardiovascular health, managing cases that require immediate attention beyond routine care.
• Assist in performing invasive procedures under the supervision of a physician, adhering strictly to established protocols and best practices.

As a Physician Assistant at Good Samaritan Medical Hospital, you will primarily work with patients experiencing cardiovascular conditions, ranging from common heart diseases to complex chronic conditions. Our patient population is diverse, including individuals from various age groups, socioeconomic backgrounds, and health literacy levels. You will play a critical role in improving health outcomes through tailored care and patient education.

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• A Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies is required.
• Current PA certification and an active state license to practice are mandatory.
• At least 1 year of experience working as a Physician Assistant is required.
• Demonstrable skills in critical thinking, effective communication, active listening, and time management.

• Experience in cardiology or related fields is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and charting practices is preferred.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

This full-time Physician Assistant position offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 to $180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
