Good plumbing refers to a well-designed, properly installed, and efficiently maintained system that supplies clean water and safely removes waste from a building. It involves using quality materials, adhering to local building codes, and ensuring leak-free connections. Good plumbing also means regular inspections and prompt repairs to prevent issues like leaks, clogs, or water damage. A reliable plumbing system contributes to the overall safety, hygiene, and comfort of any home or business.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a plumber, and why are they important?

To thrive as a plumber, you need a solid understanding of plumbing systems, pipefitting, and local building codes, often supported by an apprenticeship and state licensing. Familiarity with tools such as pipe cutters, threading machines, and leak detection devices, as well as certifications like Journeyman or Master Plumber, are typically required.
