A Day in the Life
Marketing and Leasing
  • Comply with all Fair Housing Laws and Landlord-Tenant Laws.
  • Responsible for owning the customer experience to drive new leases, lease renewals, and overall resident, tenant, and prospect satisfaction.
  • Responsible for projecting a positive image and experience to prospective residents and the public while leasing and conducting tours of properties.
  • Assist with marketing efforts including providing implementation, sales data lead tracking, customer surveys, resident retention follow up and market surveys.
  • Advertising for available units via Craigslist and other media
  • Meeting leasing goals and tracking results.
  • Drive promoting the properties' social media channels.
  • Assist in the implementation of a lease renewal strategy.
  • Attend leasing, marketing, and management meetings as required.
  • Strategic positioning of signage and collateral, including neighborhood outreach.
  • Utilize leasing systems to streamline and organize processes.
  • Complete the leasing process with clients which includes but is not limited to performing unit walk-throughs, evaluating credit/application outcomes, and completing all leasing documentation.

Resident Relations
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with residents and the community.
  • Manage package system to ensure carriers and residents deliver and receive parcels safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions with staff, residents, tenants, and vendors.
  • Identify and clarify the needs of a resident, tenant, or co-worker and respond to these needs quickly.
  • Maintain regular communication with residents, coordinate resident events, and conduct resident satisfaction surveys.

Maintaining the Physical Asset
  • Cleaning models, touching up vacant units, and spiffing apartments prior to move-in.
  • Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies.
  • Keep your workspace, office, and leasing path tidy and organized.
  • Educate yourself on proper safety and quality control measures in place.
  • Understand available emergency resources in response to risk.

Administration
  • Manage and maintain both physical and digital resident, vendor, and project files.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, Blanton Turner employees, managers, and vendors (verbally and in writing).
  • Update leasing software with new leads, tours, and pulling residents through the steps of the move-in process.
  • Help track, prepare, and execute move-ins and move-outs.
  • Work on special projects as needed.

Requirements
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Computer literate; proficient with productivity software including MS Office, SharePoint and Google Docs.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Experience working with the public in a retail or sales environment.
  • Friendly with a good sense of humor.
  • Previous leasing or sales experience preferred.
