Evergreen Animal Hospital is seeking a Kennel Assistant to join our team! Patient care is always top priority to our team, and having the support of an enthusiastic kennel assistant to ensure the hospital is in clean and stocked working order is of critical importance to facilitate the success of that mission.

There is a lot to do in a veterinary hospital, but Evergreen also emphasizes the importance of work-life balance, and of advancing each individual's professional skillset.          Responsibilities include:

-          Learning proper restraint techniques for small mammal patients

-          Learning proper cleaning/sterilization procedures for hospital equipment and facilities

-          Regularly walk hospitalized patients in fenced outdoor yard

-          Clean/maintain hospital facilities including exam rooms, treatment area, surgical suite, dental suite, kennels, breakroom, offices, and property yards

-          Unpacking and stocking hospital supplies as they arrive

         Physical Demands

-          Lifting up to 25lbs unassisted, more with proper assistance

-          Standing for long periods of time

-          Potential exposure to loud noises including barking of hospitalized patients

-          Bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling on a regular basis
