YOUR TYPICAL DAY

As a Lead Plumbing Excavation Technician, your day starts at the shop followed by dispatch to customer homes for excavation or septic projects. You expertly operate heavy equipment like excavators, hydro-vac and septic pump trucks, ensuring safety and efficiency. You install and repair various piping systems, mentor apprentices, and maintain precise records.

Throughout the day, you check Google Chats and your email, promptly addressing any inquiries. You greet customers warmly, provide exceptional service, and even participate in fun company events like golf outings and parades. As the day winds down, you ensure all equipment is clean, organized, and ready for the next job.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A LEAD PLUMBING EXCAVATION TECHNICIAN

  • 3+ years of excavation experience with underground plumbing
  • CDL license
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CDL with tanker endorsement
  • Diploma from a trade school or successful completion of an apprenticeship
  • Knowledge of state regulations, including OSHA requirements
  • Ability to read blueprints and construction plans

WORK SCHEDULE

In this full-time position, your start time varies between 7 AM and 8 AM, depending on training or meetings. While we aim for a 5 PM end time, we work until the last job is completed to ensure customer satisfaction. You'll also participate in a rotating on-call schedule every other week.
