Position Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and responsible Outside Services Attendant to join our team at Marcella. The Outside Services Attendant is responsible for ensuring that outside areas such as player services and golf cart pickup/return are well-maintained, properly staged, and ready for use by members and players. In addition, this role involves assisting with bag handling, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for both golfers and equipment.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure golf carts are clean, properly charged, and ready for use before each round. Drive carts to staging areas, load them with golf bags, and deliver to customers.
  • Greet golfers with a friendly attitude, assist with loading/unloading golf bags, and provide directions to the first tee. Ensure a positive experience for guests by addressing any questions or needs.
  • Assist golfers with their golf bags by loading, unloading, and delivering them to designated areas (e.g., the carts or clubhouse).
  • Monitor and ensure that carts are stocked with the necessary equipment, including scorecards, tees, and pencils. Check for any safety hazards around the cart staging area and make sure the area is clean and organized.
  • Perform routine checks on golf carts, including tire pressure, oil levels, and battery charging. Report any mechanical issues or damage to the supervisor for further action.
  • Keep the cart staging area neat and orderly, including returning carts to their designated spots after use. Clean and wash carts as needed to ensure they meet the highest standards.
  • Ensure all practice facilities are open and ready for players each morning. Maintain all practice areas throughout the day and ensure they are fully stocked, clean and organized.
  • Provide support during tournaments or group outings by assisting with cart assignments, helping direct golfers to their starting hole, and ensuring the event runs smoothly.
  • Ensure all carts are safely operated by guests, following the rules and policies of the golf course. Assist with ensuring that golfers follow proper safety protocols, such as speed limits and cart path usage.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by supervisors, including assisting in the parking lot, managing golf bag storage, or helping with general course maintenance.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or golf-related position is a plus but not required.
  • Must have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and be willing to work in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and stand, walk, or bend for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license is required for operating golf carts.
