Landscapes Golf Management and Manhattan Country Club are seeking part time Bartenders for the upcoming golf season.    If you are a person who loves a fun environment and takes pride in providing exceptional service this is the job for you.  Must be age 21 by the time of hire.


Located in Manhattan, KS, MCC Overlooks the scenic Flint Hills of Kansas. Manhattan Country Club represents a private retreat for its members and their guests.  Manhattan Country Club currently has more than 350 members and continues to grow. MCC houses an Olympic sized swimming pool, massage therapy, fitness facility, casual dining and lounge, scenic banquet facility as well as full-service dining room.  This classic property has the charm and quality to host any special event.  Manhattan, Kansas is located approximately 2 hours west of Kansas City and is home to Kansas State University.

JOB SUMMARY

Attends to the service needs of club patrons in the bar area including food and beverage service. Maintains the stock and cleanliness of the bar area.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Promotes, works, and acts in a manner consistent with the values of LGM.
  2. Attends Responsible Alcohol and Tobacco Service training and adheres to the Responsible Alcohol and Tobacco Service policy.
  3. Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to bar patrons. Utilizes drink measures and proper pours.
  4. Checks customers' identification and confirms it meets legal drinking age.
  5. Records drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into register system.
  6. Collects guest payment, processes credit card charges and makes change (if applicable).
  7. Takes food orders, records food orders into register system and delivers orders to bar patrons.
  8. Maintains the stock in the bar and the cleanliness of the area. Arrange bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages.
  9. Cleans glasses, utensils, and bar equipment per company guidelines and health department requirements.
  10. Prepares garnishes for drinks and replenishes snacks, appetizers for bar patrons.
  11. Communicates low stock items to the food and beverage manager as appropriate.
  12. Follows closing and duty lists as appropriate.
  13. Reports all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to company management.
  14. Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessing drinking by following company procedures.
  15. Demonstrates a commitment to the work and success of the club and the Company by being service- and solution-oriented, having positive interactions with all club staff and members/guests, and meeting established quality, service and safety expectations.
  16. Performs additional assignments per the direction of club or Company managers.
  17. Regular and punctual attendance on site for all scheduled shifts is required.


Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  1. Must have the ability to deliver a high level of customer service while working under pressure.
  2. Good oral communication skills.
  3. Has the ability to calculate and complete liquid measurements.
  4. Ability to do simple math and count change accurately.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIANCE

  1. Must be at least 21 years of age
  2. High school diploma or GED required
  3. Previous experience in food service/bartending preferred.
  4. Responsible Alcohol and Tobacco training and/or certificate

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Seeing and hearing: read documents, computer screen, answer phones, communicate in person 25-75%
