Videographers in this field focus on highlighting the techniques, swings, and overall atmosphere of the sport, often for broadcast, promotional, or coaching purposes. Job description

Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort | Miramar Beach, Florida

Position Overview

Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort is seeking a creative, energetic, and highly organized Social Media Specialist to help showcase one of Florida’s premier resort destinations. This position will play a key role in developing and sharing engaging content that captures the Sandestin experience—from beautiful beaches and championship golf to dining, events, recreation, shopping, marina activities, and the many experiences available throughout our expansive resort.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on social media enthusiast who enjoys being out in the resort, capturing real-time moments, telling compelling stories, and engaging with guests and followers. This role will also provide administrative and marketing support as needed, making organization, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple priorities essential.

About Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort

Located along Florida’s beautiful Emerald Coast, Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort encompasses approximately 2,400 acres and offers an incredible variety of guest experiences. With championship golf, beaches, a marina, tennis, dining, shopping, events, recreation, and multiple resort amenities and outlets, there is always something happening at Sandestin.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to build a social presence around a destination where every day provides new content opportunities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Social Media & Content Creation

  • Assist in developing and executing engaging social media content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and other appropriate platforms.
  • Create, capture, edit and publish high-quality photo, video and short-form content.
  • Spend time throughout the resort capturing authentic guest experiences, behind-the-scenes moments, events, activities and seasonal content.
  • Develop content that highlights Sandestin's unique experiences, amenities and destination appeal.
  • Showcase the resort's multiple dining outlets, bars, beach experiences, golf, marina, tennis, spa, shopping, recreation and other amenities.
  • Capture and promote special events, festivals, concerts, tournaments, holiday activities and resort programming.
  • Highlight four championship golf courses, golf events, tournaments, course conditions and the overall golf experience.
  • Develop creative Reels, TikToks, Stories and other short-form content designed to increase engagement and reach.
  • Assist with maintaining a consistent brand voice and visual identity across social platforms.
  • Monitor comments, messages, mentions and engagement and assist with timely responses.
  • Stay current with social media trends, emerging platforms, popular formats, sounds and content strategies.
  • Assist with social media calendars, scheduling and campaign execution.
  • Track basic social media analytics and engagement and provide reports or observations regarding content performance.
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing, Food & Beverage, Golf, Recreation, Events, Spa, Marina, Hospitality and other departments to identify content opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather information, photographs, videos, event details and promotional materials.
  • Help identify opportunities to showcase guests, employees, resort experiences and the beauty of the Emerald Coast.

Administrative & Marketing Support

  • Provide administrative assistance to the Marketing and/or Communications team as needed.
  • Assist with calendars, scheduling, meetings, spreadsheets, reports and other administrative tasks.
  • Help organize marketing materials, digital assets, photography and video files.
  • Assist with coordinating content requests from resort departments and business partners.
  • Help maintain content calendars, promotional schedules and event information.
  • Assist with special projects, marketing initiatives and resort-wide campaigns.
  • Perform other duties and administrative responsibilities as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in social media, digital marketing, content creation, hospitality marketing or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of major social media platforms, particularly Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
  • Excellent photography and videography skills with the ability to create compelling visual content.
  • Experience with editing photos and short-form video content.
  • Strong written communication and storytelling skills.
  • Creative eye with an understanding of what makes content engaging and shareable.
  • Comfortable being out and about throughout a large resort capturing content rather than working behind a desk all day.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple projects, deadlines and requests simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with multiple departments.
  • Flexible schedule and willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends and holidays to capture events and resort activities.
  • Hospitality, tourism, resort, golf, restaurant or destination marketing experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics and scheduling platforms is preferred.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut or similar creative tools is a plus.

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who sees a story everywhere.

You might be filming a beautiful sunrise over the Gulf one morning, capturing a golf tournament in the afternoon, showcasing a new restaurant special that evening, and creating a Reel from a resort event the next day. You should be comfortable walking the property, talking with guests and team members, finding interesting moments and turning them into content that makes people want to experience Sandestin for themselves.

The successful candidate is creative, energetic, personable, resourceful, organized and not afraid to jump in wherever needed.

Why Join Sandestin?

  • Work at one of Florida's most beautiful resort destinations.
  • Be surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico, Choctawhatchee Bay, beaches, golf and incredible resort experiences.
  • Work across a diverse portfolio of restaurants, bars, events, golf, marina, spa, recreation and hospitality offerings.
  • Gain exposure to destination marketing and a wide variety of hospitality operations.
  • Join a team where every day brings new opportunities to create something memorable.
