Located in Truckee, California, Martis Camp encompasses a collection of fine amenities, including the Camp Lodge, Family Barn, Beach Shack, Lost Library, and a Tom Fazio-designed golf course. The Club provides a four-season experience with recreation, dining, wellness, and outdoor adventure woven into every aspect of daily life.
The Men's Lounge Attendant is responsible for delivering elevated, personalized, and seamless food and beverage hospitality experience within the Men's Lounge, locker room, poolside areas, and on the golf course. This position plays a central role in creating a sanctuary-like environment where members feel cared for, welcomed, and valued. The Attendant ensures cleanliness, comfort, and exceptional service, anticipating member needs and maintaining the high standards of luxury that define Martis Camp Club.
Availability for early mornings, late evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended peak-season hours. Professional, polished personal presentation that reflects the standards of Martis Camp Club. Commitment to delivering high-touch, luxury-level service.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Food and Beverage Service and Hospitality - 50%
  • Provide proactive, personalized food and beverage service within the men's lounge and locker room facilities.
  • Provide beverage service to golfers on the course, enhancing their experience with consistent, timely and attentive hospitality.
  • Ability to attain deep knowledge of menu offerings
  • Ability to create and serve alcoholic beverages with consistency
  • Deliver food and beverages to members at the adult pool with consistent grace, timeliness, and professionalism.

Member Engagement & Experience Enhancement - 30%
  • Build authentic rapport by engaging with members, learning names, preferences and providing highly personalized hospitality.
  • Demonstrate warmth, professionalism, and discretion in all interactions.

Facility Cleanliness & Presentation - 10%
  • Ensure locker room areas remain spotless, organized, and stocked.
  • Respond immediately to maintenance or cleanliness concerns.

Team Collaboration & Communication - 10%
  • Work cohesively with all club departments, especially Transportation, to manage member requests.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless, high-touch service delivery.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge
  • Understanding of luxury hospitality standards.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service and safety practices.
  • Cocktail and wine knowledge preferred.
  • Familiarity with locker room amenities and guest-service operations preferred.

Skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

MINIMUM AND PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND LICENSURE:
  • Prior serving or bartending experience in luxury hospitality (resort, private club, hotel, or high-end restaurant) strongly preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • ServSafe Food Handler Card and ABC Responsible Beverage Service Certification preferred (or ability to obtain shortly after hire).
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Male gender requirement due to privacy considerations within the men's locker room facilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to push heavy carts up to ¼ mile at a time.
  • Ability to carry a tray weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 5 hours at a time.
  • Ability to sit for 4-5 hours as needed.
  • Ability to twist, kneel, bend, and perform repeated motions when moving items or supporting member needs.
  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, including varying temperatures.

WAGE RANGE: $20 - $24 per hour plus gratuities
