Job description

The Golf Pro Shop Retail Attendant is responsible for assisting in the management of the day to day operations of our golf revenue centers.  He or she is responsible for maintaining up to date and accurate information about the golf operation or any other current activities here at Wild Dunes Resort.

 Essential job Functions:
  • Assist in booking/ collecting all golf tee-times
  • Maintain a clean and organized proshop at all times
  • Answer all phone calls in a timely and professional manner enthusiastically.
  • Effectively utilize greens fee strategies and utilize tee sheet efficiency
  • Maximize ancillary revenue through strategic selling
  • Effectively monitor pace of golf course
  • Assist in managing systems for all lesson and clinic revenues
  • Ensure all standards of the resort are upheld
  • Assist in all club functions (tournaments, golf socials, etc.)
  • Respond to common inquires or complaints from members or guests
  • Have the ability to define problems, collect data and draw valid conclusions
  • Participate in weekend coverage as assigned
  • Perform any other reasonable related duties as requested
  • Exhibit professional behavior at all times
  • Maintain professional appearance and work uniform
 

Colleague is held accountable for all duties of this job and other duties as assigned.

Experience & Education:
  • Extensive knowledge of golf and displays enthusiasm for the game 
  • Golf proshop experience is preferred, but not required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one-year previous customer service experience or experience in a similar setting preferred
 Job Requirements:
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Must have a strong passion for assisting guests
  • Must be able to work well under pressure
  • Must have strong knowledge of fitness industry
  • Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
  • Must be highly detailed orientated
  • Must have excellent computer skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have excellent listening skills
  • Must possesses excellent communication skills
  • Must be professional in appearance and demeanor
  • Must always ensure a teamwork environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and Colleagues
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
  • Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
 Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to stand on feet and walk throughout the day, with intermittent periods of stair climbing
  • Must be able to lift & carry up to 10 lbs on an occasional, repetitive basis
  • Must be able to twist, bend, kneel and squat frequently; crawl occasionally
  • Must be able to perform repetitive hand & arm movements and simple grasping constantly; pushing & pulling, squeezing and overhead reaching frequently
