Summary
Takes food and beverage orders, pours beverages, prepares food, delivers food and beverages, busses tables, calculates, presents, and processes checks while constantly providing exceptional service to all members, guests, and co-workers.
Key Responsibilities
- Confirms beverage cart is fully operational before starting rounds on the course and assists the Bev Cart Attendant as needed
- Cleans, stocks, and restocks beverage cart following set protocol
- Maintains and exhibits knowledge of proper golf course etiquette as set forth by the Director of Golf
- Ensures guests are attended to in a prompt, efficient, and personalized manner
- Answers questions about menu items and beverages, including their ingredients, preparation, and accompanying items, and makes recommendations; informs customers of daily specials
- Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and sugar to prepare cocktails and other drinks to Pronghorn specifications
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of applicable state liquor laws and OLCC standard operating procedures
- Takes orders from guests for food and/or beverage items
- Enters orders and modifications into the POS system quickly, in proper sequence, and uses appropriate abbreviations
- Serves or delivers food and/or beverages to guests
- Checks with customers to ensure they are enjoying their meal and experience, and takes action to correct any problems
- Prepares and presents checks; collects payments by having checks signed by members or processing a credit card
- Upholds the standards and expectations of food quality and production set forth by Pronghorn Resort
- Helps in the physical setup of social functions, events, and tournaments
- Sets up a snack bar; maintains and cleans all necessary utensils and equipment for food preparation
- Labels, dates, rotates, and stores all items produced; obtains Chef's approval on all products made; maintains appropriate inventory levels through communication with the Chef and F&B Manager
- Ensures equipment is operated, cleaned, sanitized, and maintained consistently and properly
- Performs daily, weekly, and monthly side work duties set by the F&B Manager or Assistant Director of Food and Beverage
- Reviews schedules for changes, calendar of events, and club activities daily
- Attends scheduled training seminars and department meetings
- Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action that may be taken
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position
- Effectively handles multiple tasks
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance
- Maintains a professional standard at Pronghorn, including but not limited to appearance, interaction with members, associates, guests of the club, verbal discussions, and written correspondence; does not discuss work-related issues with members and resort guests
- Maintains a positive attitude and the flexibility to take on new and different tasks as assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager
- Supports Food & Beverage teams by providing assistance in various areas as needed to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be dressed neatly and well-groomed in a company-approved uniform at all times
- Must be able to operate the POS system, make change correctly, and make credit card transactions accurately
- Must be able to safely operate and drive the beverage cart
- Must be able to deliver plated food, clear tables, and assist in banquet setup, which may require lifting up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to effectively card all guests who appear under the age of 30 for alcohol purchases and under the age of 25 for tobacco purchases
