As a Maintenance Technician III, you will serve as a skilled technical leader supporting the Director of Engineering in the day-to-day operations of the Engineering Department. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and facility systems to ensure uninterrupted operations, safety compliance, and equipment reliability. You will play a key role in preventative maintenance efforts, rapid response repairs, and maintaining a clean and compliant working environment across the resort.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advanced Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair a wide range of building systems and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and facility infrastructure.
    Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled inspections, servicing, calibration, and preventative maintenance to optimize system performance and extend equipment lifespan.
    Life Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work complies with insurance requirements and local, county, state, and federal codes and regulations. Follow MSDS and NFPA safety standards and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
    Service Response: Respond promptly to service requests, prioritizing urgent repairs while delivering excellent internal and guest service.
    Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and materials required.
    Project Support: Assist with renovations, capital projects, equipment installations, and property improvements as assigned.
    Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with leadership and operational departments regarding system status, repairs, and preventative needs.
    Inventory Management: Monitor tools, parts, and supply levels and submit purchase requisitions in accordance with standard operating procedures.
    Mentorship & Leadership: Support and guide junior technicians when needed, promoting best practices, safety compliance, and skill development.

Qualifications

  • One-year certificate from a college or technical school OR
    • Three to six months of related experience and/or training OR
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Strong working knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance practices, and safety standards.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and respond effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
