Job description

Job Summary:

CCB is searching for a polished, service-driven Fine Dining Bartender.  This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who is passionate about craft cocktails, premium ingredients, delivering an elevated guest experience, and upholding a high standards that are expected from CCB.

The Country Club of Birmingham is a premier private club offering exceptional amenities, personalized service, and a welcoming atmosphere for our members and guests. From golf and racquets to fine dining and social events, we pride ourselves on delivering excellence in every experience.

Schedule:  Full-Time; Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 3:00PM-11:00PM; alternating Sundays from 10:00AM-2:00PM

*Tuesday and Wednesday are flexible

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and serve classic and contemporary cocktails, wine, beer, and premium spirits with consistency and attention to detail

  • Deliver food promptly from the kitchen to dining areas while ensuring accuracy, presentation, and proper temperature

  • Provide warm, personalized, high-end service to members and guests

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar at all times

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of mixology, wine, and beverage pairings

  • Communicate clearly with kitchen and service staff to ensure seamless operations

  • Assist with table maintenance, resetting, and overall dining room presentation

  • Support private events, banquets, and club functions as needed

  • Collaborate on seasonal cocktails and bar offerings

  • Monitor responsible alcohol service in compliance with local laws

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • 2+ years of bartending experience in upscale, fine dining, or high-volume environments preferred

  • Strong knowledge of craft cocktails, premium spirits, wine, and beer

  • Experience using POS systems (e.g., Toast, Micros, or similar)

  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment

  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
