Basic Purpose of the Job
Performs a variety of assigned duties and responsibilities involved in operations of the
Black Canyon Golf Course Pro Shop including scheduling tee times, assisting with merchandise sales,
answering phone inquiries, assisting golfers with cart rental, proper use, fueling and cleaning of carts.
Provides guests with friendly, prompt, and efficient service to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
at all times. Learns and adheres to safety standards.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Work under the general direction and guidance of the Golf Professional. Must be
able to work under minimal supervision and exercise sound independent judgment.
Essential Functions:

  • Performs assigned duties in the pro shop and cart barn. Collect payments for green fees, cart
    rentals, annual pass sales, merchandise sales, stage golf carts and bags as indicated.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and restock items related to pro shop operations.
  • Carry and clean customer golf clubs from starting area to cart.
  • Maintain staging area, driving range and practice area setup.
  • Receive guests at end of round, record finish time and report it to the pro shop as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  • Follows city safety regulations and practices proper safety precautions related to all work performed.

Job Requirements:

Licensures & Certificates (must be active and current.):
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Previous experience in similar position preferred.
  • Knowledge of proper golf course etiquette and the game and play of golf.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word and Excel).
  • Valid Colorado drivers license with acceptable driving record.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to
successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to

Physical Demands: Requires ability to stand and continuously move throughout the workday. Must be able
to bend, stoop, and climb. Frequent lifting of up to 20 pounds, 75 pounds occasionally, lift overhead, push/pull
or move lighter objects. carrying, walking and hand/eye coordination. Vision for reading, handling cash and to
read computer screen. Frequent speech communication, hearing and listening to maintain communications
with employees and citizens.
Work Environment: Works equally in a clean, comfortable office environment and in an outdoor
environment with exposure to heat, sun, weather, cold and exposure to outside elements, noise,
dust and petroleum fuel products. Subject to many interruptions and pressure due to multiple calls
and inquiries. May require other activities during inclement weather.
