Job description

Job Opportunity: Urologist

We are thrilled to announce an opening for an additional urologist at our well-established, physician-owned private practice located in Central Illinois. This expansion is driven by our ongoing growth and the increasing demand for our services. With nearly six decades of dedicated service to the community, our independent multispecialty group offers the benefits of private practice, including autonomy and earning potential, alongside integrated clinical, administrative, and ancillary support.

The new physician will collaborate with three urologists and a team of experienced urology-focused Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in a highly productive and collegial atmosphere. Seasoned urologists can expect to quickly build a patient base supported by a robust regional referral network, while recent graduates will receive strong mentorship from existing partners. This position is ideal for a physician looking for a comprehensive general urology practice that offers clinical independence and long-term ownership potential. While experience in robotic surgery is preferred, it is not a prerequisite.

Practice Highlights:
  • Join a team of three urologists and two skilled urology Nurse Practitioners (NPs), with plans to expand by adding a third NP as the practice grows.
  • Enjoy a four-day workweek among partners.
  • Cover two Level II Trauma Centers with a fully compensated 1:4 call schedule.
  • Access to da Vinci robotic technology, including available robotic block time at both hospitals with a da Vinci Xi platform.
  • Engage in a wide range of procedures, such as robotic prostate and kidney surgeries, Aquablation, GreenLight laser therapy, complex stone surgeries, prosthetics, InterStim neuromodulation, bladder Botox, urodynamics, incontinence treatments, and urologic oncology.
  • Utilize advanced technologies, including the AQUABEAM robotic system, da Vinci robotics, GreenLight and holmium lasers, and extracorporeal shock-wave lithotripsy.
  • Benefit from a highly skilled clinical and administrative team that supports scheduling, billing, collections, and overall practice operations.
  • Experience substantial referral volume throughout Central Illinois, enabling an experienced physician to quickly establish a thriving practice.
  • Enjoy physician autonomy within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.
Compensation and Partnership Information:
  • Expected starting compensation is in the 70th-75th percentile range, which includes an employed guarantee and hospital call pay.
  • Partners have historically achieved compensation at the 99th percentile through clinical revenue and ancillary income.
  • Significant ancillary opportunities available upon partnership, including an in-house laboratory, pathology and PCR testing, ASC ownership, investment in a physician-owned lithotripsy company, and exciting new ventures currently in development.
  • Ongoing negotiations for payer contracts aimed at enhancing practice revenue.
  • A collaborative compensation model designed to promote shared responsibility and eliminate internal competition for patients, referrals, procedures, or payer mix.
Community Highlights:

This dynamic university town in Central Illinois boasts affordable living, excellent public schools, short commutes, and year-round recreational activities. The area is home to locally owned restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, boutiques, live music venues, collegiate sports, parks, golf courses, and extensive biking and walking trails. Families can choose from several highly regarded public school options, including a well-respected regional district, a smaller, highly rated community district, and selective university-affiliated laboratory schools.

Conveniently located approximately 2.5 hours from both Chicago and St. Louis, and about three hours from Indianapolis, the community offers easy access via interstate highways, Amtrak service, and a regional airport with nonstop flights to major hubs and leisure destinations. An additional international airport, located about 45 minutes away, provides direct flights to cities such as Chicago, Denver, Dallas, Charlotte, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Orlando, and various Florida destinations.

Qualifications:
  • Education: MD/DO
  • Type: Full Time
  • Number of Openings: 1
  • State: IL
  • City: Bloomington
