Position Overview

Hermitage Country Club is seeking an enthusiastic, service-oriented, and highly motivated Assistant Golf Professional to join our Golf Operations team. This individual will play an integral role in delivering an exceptional golf experience through outstanding member service, tournament and event administration, daily golf shop operations, and support of the overall Golf Department.

The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for creating memorable experiences for members and guests.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional service to members and guests while promoting a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
  • Assist with the daily operation of the golf shop and outside golf operations.
  • Plan, organize, and administer tournaments, leagues, and member events using Golf Genius Tournament Management.
  • Manage tournament setup, online registration, pairings, scoring, live scoring, results, and post-event reporting.
  • Assist with merchandising, inventory control, displays, and retail sales.
  • Maintain tee sheets, handicap records, and daily golf operations using Northstar and ForeTees.
  • Assist with member communications regarding golf events, tournaments, and club activities.
  • Support pace-of-play initiatives and daily course operations.
  • Supervise and mentor outside operations staff while maintaining high service standards.
  • Provide golf instruction and support player development programs as opportunities arise.
  • Represent Hermitage Country Club with professionalism, integrity, and a positive attitude.
Experience & Qualifications
  • PGA Associate Level 1 minimum.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of golf operations experience at a private country club.
  • Demonstrated experience in golf shop operations, tournament administration, member services, and daily golf operations.
  • Proficiency in Golf Genius Tournament Management, including tournament setup, online registration, pairings, scoring, live scoring, results, and post-event reporting.
  • Experience with Northstar Club Management Software and ForeTees strongly preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume private club environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and club events.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with the standards of Hermitage Country Club.
