Position Summary:

UGP is seeking dynamic and motivated individuals deeply passionate about golf and fitness to join our team as Golf Fitness Trainers. As a Golf Fitness Trainer, your role will encompass a range of responsibilities designed to optimize our clients' golf performance and overall well-being.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting Private 1-on-1 Training Sessions: Delivering comprehensive 45-minute training sessions tailored to each client's individual needs and goals.
  • Performing In-Depth Assessments and Performance Testing: Conducting thorough assessments and performance tests for every client to identify physical limitations and establish a baseline for improvement.
  • Ensuring Safety and Performance Enhancement: Leading engaging, high-quality training sessions that align with the UGP philosophy. Prioritizing injury prevention while enhancing clients' golf performance.
  • Daily Operations Support: Collaborating with the team to assist with daily facility operations, ensuring the best possible client experience.
  • Client Management: Managing a portfolio of clients, including scheduling and frequency coordination to help them achieve their fitness and golf-related objectives.
  • Body-Golf Swing Connection: Understanding the intricate relationship between the body and golf swing mechanics and employing strategies to enhance clients' performance.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborating with other departments, such as coaching, to optimize the overall performance and satisfaction of our clients.

Requirements:

  • Specialized certifications or training in corrective exercise (e.g., Personal Training Certification, ACE, CSCS, NASM, etc. - subject to review by the hiring manager) or a 4-year Kinesiology Degree
  • Experience training clients one-on-one and in group formats

  • Golf experience is highly preferred
  • Sales experience is highly preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Golf Fitness Trainer is responsible for the following essential functions, among others:

  • Conducting exploratory and in-depth interviews with clients to understand their history, motivation, and goals
  • Developing and executing personalized development programs based on assessment results
  • Collaborating with other fitness and golf coaches to optimize clients' golf and personal development before, during, and after training sessions
  • Delivering a five-star customer experience by exceeding client expectations and anticipating their needs
  • Facilitating a Development Plan to improve overall health, golf ability, physical fitness, and mobility
  • Providing weekly performance updates to the Fitness Manager
  • Confidently leading high-quality tours and demonstrating the ability to close sales
  • Completing necessary administrative duties, including client follow-ups, team communication, and fitness plan development
  • Maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance, aligning with UGP's mission, vision, and core values
  • Answering phones, promptly scheduling appointments, and managing personal schedules using MINDBODY

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The physical demands of this position include talking, hearing, using hands and fingers, handling objects, and engaging in exercise. The Golf Fitness Trainer may be required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds may be necessary. Specific vision abilities, including close and distance vision, are required, along with the ability to adjust focus. The work environment is typically moderate in terms of noise level.
