Job description

Kissing Tree Golf Club is seeking an Associate Golf Professional! Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service.
Essential Duties:
  • Teach the fundamentals of the golf swing as established by the Director of Instruction
  • Participate in designing and implementing ideas to promote golf instruction and bring in additional revenues to the club
  • Help to maintain general upkeep of the driving range, lesson tee and storage shed
  • Maintain range set-up and equipment
  • Perform all club golf activities including junior golf clinics
  • Assist in the development of qualified and certified assistants
  • Educate teaching staff throughout the golf season with monthly clinics and/or roundtable sessions
  • Coordinate and teach clinics on a weekly basis
  • Act as a liaison between Golf Digest and the Club regarding golf school schedules, needs, and equipment
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all teaching aids on property including video equipment
  • Assist the Director of Instruction with Golf Digest Schools and Troon Institute
  • Assist in the creation of lesson plans
  • Incorporate safe work practices in job performance

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university; or three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:
Regularly stands, walks and sits. Occasionally climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches. Frequently uses hands; reaches with hands and arms. Frequently talks or hears, tastes or smells. Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
Environment/Noise:
Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather). Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses:
Class A member of PGA/LPGA.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
  • Ability to read and speak English is required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associate is required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers; manuals for the equipment the associate may use are in English)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with computerized POS and tee time system

Extra Information:
  • PGA of America Member or Associate preferred.
  • Experienced Jonas POS user is a plus.
