Job description

Burnham Woods Golf Course is seeking a Cart Attendant. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service. As a key member of the property’s golf operations team, the Cart Attendant reports directly to the General Manager or Golf Shop Supervisor and attends to the golf cart fleet, as well as other duties as directed. The candidate must be able to work closing, weekends and holidays. 

Pay Rate:
$15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
  • Must have strong customer/guest orientation
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be dependable
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have a friendly personality and enjoy working with the public
  • Working knowledge of the rules of golf is preferred
  • Ability to learn and enforce course policies, rules, and regulations
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
Responsibilities:
  • Maintains a professional appearance
  • Brings carts from the cart barn in the morning and returns carts to the cart barn at the end of the day
  • Cleans, waters, and checks carts after each use and restocks as required
  • Cleans and maintains the cart barn
  • Ensures carts are available for player use at all times
  • Receives and communicates complaints to the Golf Shop
  • Works closely with Golf Shop staff to prepare and conduct golf tournaments
  • Implements and supports all course policies and programs as communicated by management
  • Gas carts, wash and wax carts, clean all trash out of carts, and store and lock carts at the end of the day
  • Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager
Other Qualifications:
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Must be able to work closing shifts and weekends
