RATE OF PAY:ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

MINIMUM AGE:ย ย  18 years

HOURS/PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT:ย ย  Part-time position; Seven-Day Operation; Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.ย  Availability of extended time off during peak season is extremely limited. Must be available for an on-call, event related schedule during the offseason.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The employee performs a wide variety of duties related to the food & beverage operation of the Mystic Creek Golf Course, but the primary focus and responsibility is coordination of food production and timing for banquets and other similar events.ย  Responsibilities also include preparation, display of foods, and quality and quantity controls.ย  Employee will also be responsible for maintaining kitchen cleanliness and inventory organization. Although direction is provided by management, the employee must be able to perform duties without close supervision and exercise sound judgment and initiative.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of the techniques of food preparation.
  • Ability to prepare a variety of food items in a variety of quantities.
  • Ability to operate a full range of kitchen equipment, including mixers, steam cookers, ovens, toasters, grills, slicers, knives, and deep fryers.
  • Ability to prepare lists of food item quantities needed for meal preparation by the Chef.
  • Some experience in culinary arts is highly desirable.
  • Practice sound food sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to regularly lift and carry a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public.
  • Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURE:

Applications will be reviewed and qualified applicants will be scheduled for an interview.
