Maintenance Worker
Aldrich Mansion

Position Status: Full-time
Wages: Hourly $20.00 - $24.00 (Experience Based)
General Description
Worker will perform routine maintenance, within the mansion setting. Maintains and operates standard pieces of equipment, e.g., mowers, snow blowers, trimmers, power tools, ladders and lifts, etc., used to maintain the mansionโ€™s facilities and grounds.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Performs routine maintenance tasks around the Mansion such as changing light bulbs, plaster and painting, unclogging drains, repairing locks, doors, hinges and gates.
  • Performs light custodial duties such as mopping, vacuuming, dusting, waxing, woodwork, etc.
  • Will be required to perform yard work and landscaping duties such as lawn mowing and trimming, raking and sweeping, and snow removal using a shovel and/ or powered equipment.
  • Aides in the preparation for scheduled Events, Weddings, and other religious services. This includes cleanliness, appropriate and adequate lighting, accessibility through appropriate entranceways, adequate heating or cooling, etc.
  • Performs other manual tasks as required or directed.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Must be able to read and write in English (as appropriate)
  • Must be capable of performing a variety of physical tasks and movements including lifting up to 50 lbs. on occasion and 25lbs routinely, standing, stooping, bending, kneeling and squatting
Education, Training and/ or Experience:
  • A high school diploma or a GED certificate is desirable but not necessary
  • Must possess experience performing maintenance duties (as indicated above) in a church, commercial, or other organizational setting.
Special Requirements:
  • Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors in all climate conditions.
  • Must be capable of climbing ladders and scaffolding and working at heights up to 24โ€™.
  • Mandatory weekend overtime (morning hours) to aide in the cleaning and resetting of mansion function areas during peak event seasons.
  • Mandatory overtime for snow removal during storms.
  • Must be very organized and detail oriented with the ability to perform multiple tasks.
  • Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
