Position Summary
The Beverage Cart Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional on-course food and beverage service to golfers while delivering an outstanding guest experience. This position operates the beverage cart safely and professionally, prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, and other menu items, accurately processes transactions, and maintains compliance with all ABC regulations and KemperSports service standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Guest Service
  • Provide friendly, prompt, and professional service to all guests.
  • Build positive relationships with golfers through exceptional hospitality.
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service whenever possible.
  • Promote daily specials and featured menu items.

Beverage Cart Operations
  • Safely operate the beverage cart throughout the golf course.
  • Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, soft drinks, snacks, and other food items.
  • Verify identification and serve alcohol responsibly in accordance with California ABC regulations.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels throughout the shift.
  • Restock products, ice, and supplies as needed.
  • Keep the beverage cart clean, organized, and fully stocked.

Cash Handling
  • Accurately process cash and credit card transactions.
  • Balance receipts and complete end-of-shift reporting.
  • Maintain accountability for inventory and cash.

Teamwork
  • Communicate effectively with the restaurant, golf operations, and management teams.
  • Assist with tournaments, outings, weddings, and special events as needed.
  • Support fellow team members to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all KemperSports policies and procedures.
  • Comply with California ABC alcohol service regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
  • Safely operate the beverage cart and report maintenance concerns promptly.

Qualifications
  • Previous customer service, restaurant, hospitality, or beverage service experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly, outgoing, and professional personality.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification and Food Handler Card.
  • Basic math and cash-handling skills.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and drive a beverage cart for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to bend, reach, and frequently stock products and supplies.
