Where you Will Work

Portland Parks Golf operates an interconnected ecosystem of four unique public golf facilities located throughout Portland to maximize access, affordability, and participation. Together, the portfolio supports the full golfer lifecycle from entry-level instruction and player development to high-quality championship play while also serving as community gathering spaces that generate recreation, events, and economic value for Portland residents and visitors alike. 

Colwood Golf Center
Located in Northeast Portland near PDX, Colwood is a player-development and event-friendly facility featuring a 9-hole par-3 course, driving range, footgolf, and flexible event space that attracts beginners, families, and value-oriented golfers. 

Eastmoreland Golf Course
A centrally located 18-hole course in Southeast Portland, Eastmoreland pairs historic significance as Oregon’s second-oldest public course with modern amenities including a lighted double-deck driving range, active restaurant, and private event space. 

Heron Lakes Golf Course
Set within a scenic natural floodplain, Heron Lakes offers 36 holes of championship golf designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Jr., supporting high daily play with grass-tee range and clubhouse dining. 

Rose City Golf Course
A classic municipal course with deep Portland history, Rose City is known for its tree-lined fairways, challenging par-4s, and historic clubhouse, making it a beloved neighborhood gathering place and a staple of the city’s public golf culture. 

What You'll Do

  • Assist in maintaining Portland Parks Golf brand standards across all marketing materials, digital channels, and guest communications.
  • Assist in developing and implementing the annual sales and marketing plan for Portland Parks Golf in collaboration with the KemperSports Regional Sales & Marketing Director and PPG leadership.
  • Develop, execute, and refine integrated marketing campaigns that increase brand awareness, drive participation, and generate revenue across all business lines.
  • Develop and manage a social media and email content calendar that supports community engagement, promotes programs and events, and drives rounds, participation, and revenue across all departments.
  • Coordinate with golf operations, food & beverage, instruction, sales, and community outreach teams to gather content, promote initiatives, and ensure timely, consistent communication across all marketing channels.
  • Grow and manage the Portland Parks Golf email database and social media communities through engaging content, audience development, and best practices.
  • Monitor and manage the Portland Parks Golf online reputation by responding professionally and timely to guest reviews, comments, messages, and questions across digital and social media platforms.
  • Support the Sales Manager by developing and executing marketing initiatives that increase partnerships, generate leads, and increase awareness for tournaments, outings, banquets, and special events.
  • Support the Community Outreach Manager by promoting community outreach initiatives, sponsorship activations, charitable partnerships, and special events through marketing and communications efforts.
  • Manage, grow, and enhance the Portland Parks Golf Loyalty Program, including administration, marketing, and ongoing development of the digital app platform.
  • Write and distribute press releases, blog articles, newsletters, website content, and other communications that support organizational objectives and promote Portland Parks Golf.
  • Design and produce promotional materials, digital assets, and collateral supporting programs, events, tournaments, instruction, food & beverage, and other facility initiatives.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor paid digital advertising campaigns, including paid social media, search, and other online marketing initiatives.
  • Capture, organize, and maintain a library of photography and video assets for use across marketing, communications, advertising, and promotional efforts.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Portland Parks Golf website by ensuring content is current, engaging, user-friendly, and optimized for search engines (SEO).
  • Track and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, digital advertising, email communications, website traffic, and social media engagement, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, local market conditions, community initiatives, and competitive activity to identify opportunities that strengthen Portland Parks Golf's market presence.
  • Represent Portland Parks Golf at community events, networking opportunities, festivals, trade shows, and other local functions to promote the organization and strengthen community relationships, as needed.
  • Work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support events, capture marketing content, and engage with guests and community members.
  • Perform other marketing, communications, administrative, and project support duties as assigned to advance Portland Parks Golf's business objectives.

Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of applicable marketing, communications, or content creation experience
  • Experience with social media management, email marketing, and website content management platforms
  • Experience creating digital marketing content using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design software
  • Basic photography and videography skills
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, SEO, and paid social advertising
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
