Job description

Native Oaks Golf Club, located in Valley Center, CA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Grounds Crew! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Pay scale $17.00 to $20.00 per hour BOE
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
  • Must possess the ability design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf course
  • Experience with operating greens/fairway mowers preferred
  • Must possess the ability to create spray programs for the golf course including greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and landscaping
  • Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operations
  • Ability to give oral and written instructions
  • Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation
  • Must be dependable

Responsibilities:
  • Maintains clean and organized works areas on the golf course and maintenance facility
  • Mows greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areas
  • Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
  • Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as needed
  • Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways
  • Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds
  • Applies pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to the golf course
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor or manager
