Professional Golf Instructor/Coach

Fast paced. Great golf. Lots of fun! As a Professional Golf Instructor/Coach Team member you are responsible for supporting in the management of day-to-day instruction programming. In this role, you will strive to promote an exceptional golf experience for our members and guests. This role focuses on delivering high-quality instruction, building strong member relationships, and driving participation in coaching programs, events, and on-course play. Seeking a Professional Golf Instructor/Coach that is passionate about the game of golf and enjoys creating memorable, elevated experiences for students both on the lesson tee and on the golf course!
On the job:
  • Fluent in speaking Spanish and proficient in communicating lessons plans and instructions in Spanish.
  • Oversee all phases of the golf lesson programming in conjunction with the Director of Instruction and the rest of the Coaching Team
  • Assist in organizing and staging instructional programs for juniors, adults, beginners to competitive golfers, and engage in social coaching programs
  • Willingness to be involved in coaching Adaptive Student Lesson Programs
  • Work with The Refinery/Academy Club Fitter with student's club fitting needs
  • Attend regular team meetings and educational events
  • Engage with members and guests daily, creating memorable experiences
  • Maintain organized and clean lesson bays and stations

Additional Duties:
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff
  • Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions
  • Follow safe working practices, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and encouraging others to do the same
  • Take the initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain any required certifications relevant to your role.

Bring your own:
  • 2 years of college or equivalent experience preferred
  • Passion for playing and helping others improve
  • Feel comfortable and work well in a team atmosphere
  • Strong interest in swing mechanics, athletic movement and learning
  • Comfortable with using technology in lessons
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Engaging, approachable personality with the ability to connect with and build confidence in students
  • Ability to work effectively with golfers of all ages and skill levels
  • Customer service experience

Preferred:
  • PGA/LPGA Professional Certification
  • TPI Certification
  • First Tee, US Kids and/or LPGA Girls Golf Coaching experience
  • 10+ years in golf instruction, coaching, or the golf industry
  • Strong understanding of golf fundamentals and coaching concepts
  • Strong understanding of golf biomechanics and 3D data
  • Experience working with Adaptive Golfers.

Physical Requirements
  • Primarily outdoors with frequent exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures and humidity
  • Sitting, standing, walking, climbing/ladders, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs., talking, hearing, and seeing

Work Schedule
  • Adherence to attendance requirements as outlined in the weekly schedule
  • Availability of working on weekends and/or holidays as required
  • Availability to give evening lessons as needed
