Job description

Comanche Trace located in Kerrville, Texas is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Accounting Assistant! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
General Purpose:
Responsible for handling general office including Accounts Payable processes, payroll submissions, employee documentation. Manages and processes Accounts Receivable functions.
Compensation: $22.00 per hour BOE
Essential Duties:
  • Adheres to all Troon accounting standards and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounting information for posting to the general ledger.
  • Route Accounts Payable invoices for approval and posting in accounting system.
  • Provide and maintain reports to support monthly and interim reporting cycles.
  • Managing data base, files, reports, records and spreadsheets.
  • Maintains record keeping, filing systems and processes daily mail.
  • Assists with certain HR functions in regard to new employee onboarding as needed.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Membership:
  • Monthly billing, member statements.
  • Works directly with Club Controller regarding any delinquent member accounts and appropriate next steps.
  • Responds to member billing inquiries.
  • Process initiation and monthly Member payments and credit card charges and payments.
  • Work with Membership and Lifestyle teams to process member refunds.
  • Backup Membership and Lifestyle team to provide backup on the Concierge desk when required.

Experience:
  • 2-3 years accounting experience & knowledge equivalent.
  • Highly detail oriented.
  • Familiar with accounting procedures and have experience with accounting software programs.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job
  • The associate may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of property management system.

Environment/Noise:
Noise level is moderate.
Physical Demands:
Frequently sits, uses hands, reaches with arms and hands, talks or hears. Occasionally stands, walks, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches. Occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds.
