Monday Night Brewing is an award-winning craft brewery based out of Atlanta, with a distribution footprint across Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and North Carolina. We currently operate two taprooms in Atlanta, GA, a taproom in Birmingham, AL, a taproom in Nashville, TN, a taproom in Charlotte, NC, and a taproom in Knoxville, TN. In our foureenth year of operation, we are proud to produce a vast portfolio spanning from small batch New England IPAs to barrel-aged stouts, approachable kettle sours to mixed culture ambers, and hop-forward West Coast IPAs.

Monday Night Brewing is seeking a part-time Bar Back / Busser to join our growing team and operate the bar in the taproom at Monday Night Garden Co. (Charlotte, NC). This role will be responsible for demonstrating an eye for cleanliness and top-notch hospitality, ensuring the taproom is running smoothly, and going above and beyond to make the guests' Monday Night experience memorable and comfortable.

Reports to:

  • General Manager

High-Level Goals:

  • Ensure customers receive an excellent experience.
  • Understand and abide by federal and state alcohol regulations.
  • Be responsible for positions/duties assigned in the Taproom FOH including all bar duties, cleaning, and other tasks assigned.

Responsibilities include:

Bar Back:

  • Ensure guests have an excellent experience with our products and service expectations from entering to leaving
  • Responsible for opening and/or closing checklists for the bar, dining, common areas, and patio
  • Cleaning and stocking glassware and bar equipment
  • Keep taproom clean and clear of trash
  • Keep keg cooler clean, neat and organized with proper rotation.
  • Safely prep snack items to specification
  • Monitor taproom for potential problems and inform manager on duty
  • Juice and garnish prep
  • Help complete taproom side work and deep cleaning tasks
  • General cleaning
  • Stock bar with glassware, supplies, alcohol and fresh beer
  • Responsible for safe practices at all times and assisting with the cleaning of the taproom including seating areas, restrooms, bar areas, patios, parking lot etc.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18+
  • Prior craft beer or barbacking or expediting experience preferred
  • Team player that is self-motivated, good problem-solving abilities, and the ability to communicate effectively with fellow coworkers and guests with a hospitality mindset
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to learn about beer and share that knowledge with others
  • Proactively looking for ways to improve guest experience in a positive way
  • Willingness and ability to step in wherever needed
  • Flexible work schedule, primarily weekends, some holidays, and evenings
  • Ability to work at least 3 weekends a month
  • Ability to demonstrate Monday Night values

Physical Requirements:

Ability to climb, lift, reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift at least 40 pounds

Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours in a hot, wet, humid and loud environment. This position is extremely physical and demanding in nature and involves working with potentially dangerous equipment, machinery, exposure to high noise levels, and handling of hazardous materials.

Must be able to use repetitive motions and work in hot and cold environments
