Are you a proactive leader with a strong field presence who excels in fastpaced environments and is committed to delivering exceptional results? As an Assistant Superintendent, you will play a key role in driving daily construction operations and ensuring all on-site activities run safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with the Superintendent, you will take an active role in coordinating subcontractors, managing field execution, and supporting seamless project delivery.

  • Maintain a strong daily presence on site, overseeing and coordinating subcontractor activities
  • Manage and monitor subcontractor productivity, sequencing, and workmanship to ensure schedule, quality, and budget goals are met
  • Support daytoday field operations, including work planning, logistics, and coordination of trades
  • Ensure construction activities comply with design documents, specifications, and quality standards
  • Enforce the project Safety Program and promote a safe work environment at all times
  • Track daily progress, support schedule updates, and assist with cost control and field reporting
  • Identify and help resolve field conflicts, work interferences, and constructability issues
  • Assist with commissioning activities and project closeout as required

  • Fouryear degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent field experience
  • 5-10 years of experience as an assistant superintdent on heavy civil / concrete construction projects
  • Experience managing subcontractors in a highly active field environment
  • Experience with wet utilities (storm, sanitary, watermain) is a strong asset
  • Experience working around GO Transit or similar transportation infrastructure preferred
  • Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
