Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled engineer to join the cloud and data center infrastructure team with at least 10 years of systems development, deployment, and related operations experience. The candidate must have experience with distributed systems, open source development, agile development methods, CI/CD, and devops.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

System integration and distributed system debugging

Research and selection of distributed systems components

CI/CID pipeline development and integration

Test automation development work (unit, functional, integration, e2e)

Contribution and participation in open source projects

Distributed systems design/code/test/deploy

Scalability and reliability engineering, testing, and analysis

Reports and presentations


Mandatory Skills:

Must have deep experience in one or more of the following subject areas:

o Virtualization and virtualization management (Openstack, etc)

o Cloud storage systems (block and object)

o Networking and SDN

o Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, etc)

o Security and AAA in a private cloud

o Data pipelines and analytics, log collection and analysis

Must have extensive experience and excellent expertise in Linux-based high-performance, highly-available systems development.

Required Degree: Bachelors or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related Discipline.

Must have excellent written and communication skills and capable of writing and delivering both presentations and technical papers.

Practical experience contributing to an open source project.

Practical design, development and deployment experience with evolving existing designs towards large scale deployments.

Deep working knowledge of commonly used tools and frameworks utilized by the open source community.

B.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related field is desired.

Practical experience with the Go programming language is desired.

Practical experience building systems on a public cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCE, etc.) is desired.
