Go-Kart Technician
Do you have the need for speed? Do you thrive in a fast paced, energetic work environment that focuses on serving our guests? If so, Craig's Cruisers is the place for you. As a Go-Kart Technician, you will service and maintain our fleet of state-of-the-art, high performance electric go karts. The right candidate will have a track record of mechanical repair experience, preferably in the golf kart, go kart, motorcycle, or Motorsports field, and will be self-motivated and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Services and maintains fleet of 30-40 electric go karts
  • Becomes familiar with any and all state regulations regarding proper maintenance and documentation
  • Responsible for maintaining work area and back end in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Maintains a safe work environment and ensures all staff follows all safety rules.
  • Keeps accurate bookkeeping records of deliveries, invoices, expenditures, etc.
  • Accepts other maintenance duties that can include, but are not limited to building maintenance and help with general maintenance of arcade games and attractions
  • Keep accurate documentation of repairs, parts inventory, and special projects
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Perform opening track and kart repairs and performance checks
  • Maintain kart performance throughout the day
  • Maintain track and facility appearance and functionality
  • Responsibly maintain supply of tools and machinery
  • Respond to emergency situations as they arise
  • Ensure that the pit, kart shop and track areas remain clean and safe
  • Assist the track crew with track operations in limited situations
  • Perform closing duties to secure the pit and track and prepare for the following day's operation

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience
  • Mechanical repair experience required, preferably in the golf kart, go kart, motorcycle, or Motorsports field
  • Computer Skills
  • Working knowledge of the Internet and Microsoft Office Professional.

Language Skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients, and employees.
  • Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of fractions and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Go-Kart Technicians must have a mechanical disposition, must have a natural attention to detail, willingness to learn, self-drive, and mechanical mindedness.

Additional Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Position requires consistent activity, such as walking, bending and lifting
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends
  • Employment may require background check
